Coat: Morkie coats are typically soft and fluffy, similar to that of the Maltese. Shedding is minimal for the Morkie.
Character: Morkies are an active and playful breed. Morkies are lively, intelligent and bark when they sense danger.
Temperament: Morkies are fairly easy to socialize. Morkies are known for getting along well with other pets in the household.
Care: Intensive brushing and combing of the Morkie's coat is required on a daily basis. If this is too time-consuming, the coat of the Morkie should be trimmed professionally. The Morkie's hair is kept out of the eyes by a rubber band or a bow. Morkies' ears must be checked and loose hairs must be removed from ear passages.
Training: If training is consistent, the Morkie will learn quickly.
Activity: The exercise needs of the Morkie are uncomplicated. Morkies will adapt themselves to the activity level of your family.
Morkie Description: The Morkie is a cross between the Yorkshire Terrier and the Maltese. Morkies may either have full tails or docked tails, depending on breeder preference. The Morkie's ears may either become erect similar to a Yorkie or remain floppy similar to a Maltese. Compact in size, sweet in nature, and cheerful in character, Morkies make wonderful companions.
