Coat: The Bloodhound breed has a short, smooth coat. Colors for Bloodhounds are black and red, liver and red, or plain red. A small amount of white on the chest, feet or tip of the tail is acceptable for the Bloodhound.
Character: The Bloodhound is independent, gentle and affectionate. The Bloodhound barks loudly but infrequently. Bloodhounds are well-known for its good scenting nose.
