The purchase of a kitten is an experience
that incorporates emotion. For a new owner it is especially
easy to feel overwhelmed. A kitten, in many ways,
is just like a baby. The kitten may require
attentiveness to its feeding, additional sleep, and an adjustment
period. In a new environment, without other kitten
companions, your kitten may behave differently than what
you remembered in the store. Just like babies, your
kitten will require vaccinations to build immunity.
New kitten owners frequently panic
if the kitten develops diarrhea. If you have any concern,
question or would like to have your puppy seen immediately
simply call either the store (718) 258-2342 or (718) 252-7877.
You can always get in touch with someone 24 hrs a day for
emergencies. Most of all do not panic, and remember
that all of us involved want to insure that the transition
period from our store to your home is a smooth one, and
that your experience as a kitten owner is a happy and enjoyable
one.
All of this information and detailed explanation
is provided to you for your protection, to prevent you from
accumulating astronomical veterinarian bills that may be
considered unreasonable by the NYS law and thus not reimbursable.
Puppy Paradise has a list of veterinarians
that are able to help you with any medical problems that
arise within the first nine months of adjustment.
If using these veterinarians Puppy Paradise will be billed
directly for any medical problems, as a service to you,
so that there will be no out of pocket expenses for illnesses
that may occur during this time period. This
does not include accidental injuries.
Puppy Paradise is always there to assist you
with all your pet needs. If any problems arise please
feel free to call our store during store hours, and someone
will be happy to assist you with any questions or problems
you may have. If this is an emeggency and you need
immediate assistance during store hours call the store.
If this is a medical emergency and it is after store hours
you can call us at -------------24 hours a day. Please
only use this number if it is an emergency!!
2 Week Hereditary Defects Guarantee
If your kitten
has any debilitating defects such as: F.I.P., Heart Murmur,
Kidney Disorder, Liver Disorder or anything that would cause
a health problem for your pet. You are entitled to
a replacement puppy. In the case of Hip Dysplasia
or Patella Dislocation, we require an x-ray to be sent along
with a written report from the examining veterinarian.
A slight heart murmur or Patella Luxation (Grade #1 or #2)
does not qualify for credit unless the problem graduates
to a Grade #3 or greater within the 2 weeks of guarantee
time.
There is no guarantee
on any puppy for accidental death, injury, abuse, neglect,
hypoglycemia, eye infection, colds-upper respiratory, fleas,
worms, ear infection, dry skin, diet change or
eye. We also cannot guarantee anything you can
cure yourself with the help of a veterinarian or Puppy Paradise.
Should your kitten need care
as deemed fit by our veterinarian, you must first consult
Puppy Paradise before you purchase any products from your
veterinarian, as we may be able to provide you with the
same treatment at a low cost or no charge to you.
Should you decide to purchase these veterinary products
without prior approval from Puppy Paradise you will now
assume all financial responsibility during your kitten's
first visits.
The exact size and weight of a
kitten are not guaranteed
Purchaser accepts the responsibility
on adhering to NYS general business law section #35B.
If purchaser has any claims Puppy Paradise must be notified
no later than 3 business days following veterinarian findings
and only within a year period following the sale of your
pet. This must be submitted to Puppy Paradise via
Fax (718) 258-5654 or by mail only. To insure proper
documentation please note that phone calls are not acceptable.
Puppy Paradise will forward to
the purchaser the registration paper filed by the breeder
or Puppy Paradise (such as CFA, or NCCAP) by mail within
a period of 6 months from the date of purchase, providing
that the kitten has been paid in full. The registration
paper will be issued and mailed to the person who is named
as the purchaser unless the customer specifies otherwise.
If the customer does not receive the registration paper
within a 6 month period it is their responsibility to notify
Puppy Paradise. This notification must be submitted
in writing via fax assumes no liability on papers received
after 6 months.
Our Warranty

RETURN POLICY: Purchaser shall within
10 days of purchase have the above described kitten
examined by a licensed veterinarian to validate this
warranty. If a licensed veterinarian certifies
in writing within 10 days from the date of your purchase
that your kitten has Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis
or F.I.P., the kitten may be returned and Puppy Paradise
agrees at your option to issue credit or to deliver
to the purchaser, immediately, if available, and no
later than 30 days, another kitten equal to the original
price, provided said kitten of original purchase and
a veterinary examination certificate are returned to
Puppy Paradise within 24 hours after said examination,
and subject as follows. Puppy Paradise reserves
the right to withhold credit or exchange if another
veterinarian of it's choice does not confirm diagnosis.
If it is your intention to return the kitten, your veterinarian
should not provide any further immunizations or treatments
for the kitten. Be assured that all necessary
care will be provided after consultation with our veterinarian
upon the kitten's return to Puppy Paradise.

DEATH OF KITTEN: From 2 weeks of
the date of purchase Puppy Paradise warranties that
if your kitten dies, ONLY as a result of any disease
listed above in paragraph 1, Puppy Paradise will replace
said kitten immediately, if available, and no later
than 30 days with another kitten, equal to the purchase
price without any additional cost to the purchaser,
or presentation to Puppy Paradise of evidence including
cause of death, as herein set forth, certified in writing
by a licensed veterinarian in form satisfactory to purchaser,
on presentation to Puppy Paradise. If loss is
due to any other cause, then the provisions of paragraph
3 shall apply.

THEFT AND/OR ACCIDENTAL DEATH: Should
the kitten die as a result of any accident or become
lost by theft, or otherwise, at any time within the
2 week guarantee from the date of purchase, then we
will help you pay for another Puppy Paradise kitten
by permitting you to purchase a new kitten with an allowance
of 10% of the original purchase price of the kitten
being replaced. Said allowance to be credited
toward the purchase price of said new kitten.( IN NO
EVENT SHALL PURCHASER BE ENTITLED TO A CASH REFUND).
In the event of lost or theft, the owner must place
newspaper ads for 7 days to effect recovery and the
police and S.P.C.A. must have been notified. Any
claims of loss must be substantiated to the satisfaction
of Puppy Paradise and/or it's veterinarians.

ADDITIONAL TERMS:
- Owner shall immediately contact our veterinarian
should he note any symptoms of illness developing
in his kitten or in the event of accidental
injury to said kitten during the term of the
warranty.
- Puppy Paradise will not accept the return
or exchange of a kitten for the following reasons:
allergy, landlord-tenant problems, marital or
other problems not related to the health or
life of your kitten for any reason not specifically
set forth herein.
- Puppy Paradise shall under no circumstances
be obligated for any veterinary or other expenses
incurred for any other reason whatsoever.
- Puppy Paradise under no circumstances represents
or guarantees what the kitten purchased shall
look like as an adult cat.
- The purchaser agrees to the limits of Puppy
Paradise liability as that set forth herein.
